FEVER DREAM YOUTH (IS WASTED ON THE OLD)

Fuelled by frustration, London shoegaze 3-piece Fever Dream have released their angsty new single 'Youth (Is Wasted On The Old)', a song which addresses the band's perceived ignorance of the older generation as singer Adey Fleet explains...“it's about yearning for a past that never existed, about the old ruining the future for the young, about regret for a life unfulfilled. But it’s not without hope; it’s a call to arms for the young to call-out the misgivings of the middle-aged, to change their world view." Musically, 'Youth (Is Wasted On The Old)' sounds like a Primary Colours-era song by The Horrors, with a more indie take on the vocals. Highly effected guitars bleed into the atmosphere as driving drums and post-punky bass keep the noise in check. Fever Dream's second album Squid is due for release on the 29th of September via cult shoegaze label Club AC30. - HLMX
